An in-depth look about everything that we value
About Me
The following information will provide you with an overview of who I am and how I came to be here
I am a 24-year-old pet sitter with a passion for animals. I have been pet sitting for over 5 years and have experience taking care of a variety of pets. I am comfortable administering oral medications, providing adequate exercise, and providing companionship. I love working with animals and making sure they are safe and happy. After moving from Minnesota in 2019 with my partner Brayden, I adopted two wonderful dogs, Dolly & Jaxx , in 2021 and 2022. Although I began pet sitting with Rover in October of 2021, I have always been interested in caring for animals. In addition to caring for cats and dogs, I also have experience with lizards, birds, and fish. The majority of my time is spent caring for pets at home.
Thank you for visiting!
About Dolly & Jaxx
Listed below are my personal dogs, along with a few words about them
Dolly - 6 year old Siberian Husky
With patience and lots of treats, I found my voice and true personality after coming out of a rehoming situation. My favorite thing in the summer is showing Rover guests my kiddie pool, I'm always very vocal about how much I enjoy seeing Rover guests. I love chasing squirrels and racing dogs in the backyard. It's gonna be great to see you!
Jaxx - 5 year old Siberian Husky
It took me a lot of TLC to be the happy boy I am today after being rescued from a rehoming situation where I needed a lot of care. I'm a goofy, smart, and well-tempered Husky who loves window watching or lying on the deck. One of my favorite toys is a stuffed raccoon, and my favorite food is whatever you put on your plate. It'll be fun to show your friends the best places to sniff in the yard or where to catch falling food!
Why I started in pet care - Boarding/Daycare services discontinued 11/01/2024
Being a pet owner myself, I've experienced first hand how the pet care industry can treat our dogs and critters, but also how its often driven solely by profit instead of a genuine love for animals and a desire to provide them with the best possible care. So I joined Rover.com to become the change I'd personally want to see.
Perhaps you've heard from friends and family that struggle to find someone trustworthy to care for their beloved companions while they are away. Or maybe you have experienced the stress and worry of leaving your own pets in the hands of a stranger. I was that person, and I decided to be a direct part of the change.
I take great pride in providing a safe and nurturing environment for the every visitor in my care. I take the time to get to know each animal's personality and needs, and I go above and beyond to ensure that they feel comfortable and happy while their owners are away.
I understand that they aren't just animals, but important members of the family. Each and everyone of them have unique personalities, preferences, and quirks, and they deserve to be treated with the same level of care and respect as any other living being. Its not just my responsibility but my promise to you that your furry friend is in the best hands.
I hope to make a positive impact on the lives of both pets and their owners, even after the services I provide have passed.
What exactly do I provide for owners and pets?
I exclusively operate a pet sitting service from my home, ensuring a comfortable and secure environment for furry friends. My premises feature gated areas without the use of crates. Pets have access to blankets, beds, toys, treats, leashes, harnesses, and an emergency kit. Transportation services are also available, and I have installed cameras throughout the house for constant monitoring. With 24/7 backyard access, I provide daily photos and videos, ensuring prompt communication. I specialize in boarding larger breeds (See FAQ for exceptions), offering kibble and filtered water as needed. During the summer months, there's even a kiddie pool for added enjoyment. New clients receive goodie bags, and I do not charge for accidents or property damage. Each pet has a personalized profile with personality tags, and I maintain a calendar displaying all relevant pet information for clients to access. With over 90 reviews, 22 repeat clients, a 100% response rate, and a commitment to meet and greet each dog and owner, I prioritize the well-being and satisfaction of both pets and their owners.
My Sitting Style
Cage Free Boarding, Free Roam Home, Stress Free Stay - What does this all mean?
Cage Free Boarding
Animals who are boarding cage-free have the freedom to roam in large rooms, have free access to the outdoors, and take naps wherever they feel most comfortable, instead of being confined to individual cages at night. It also provides them with the opportunity to interact with one another throughout the day, early morning or late at night as they have access to toys, beds, and other enriching items all monitored by cameras. Animals boarding in this manner maintain their natural behavior while away from home, which is beneficial for their mental and physical health.
Free Roam Home
As a free roam home, there are very few closed doors and dogs are free to do whatever they wish! Relax on the kitchen floor, lay on one of the comfortable couches, play with our toys, chase the squirrels out of the backyard, start a play session, hop onto my lap, head upstairs to our second bedroom, or curl up in the main bedroom - it's all up to them!
Stress Free Stay
Our stress-free stays are customized to meet the individual needs of each dog and owner, ensuring neither pet nor owner need to leave comfort behind. In addition to providing timely updates through videos, photos, and text messages, we ensure that we provide regular updates. Moreover, we confirm daily duties such as feeding, cleaning, and personal time. It is important that both you and your companion feel as if they are on vacation
